Today, Kimone and I were in the ER at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. We each spent time with a nurse in the unit and spent the other half of the day helping with triage. On the unit, an ambulance arrived with a patient that we helped admit and treat. I helped assist the nurse and the doctor by handing them supplies and helping calm the patient. The ER was busy as expected, so some patients had to wait to be seen. I helped take vitals and weigh the patients as a preliminary step to being seen in the back. The time flew by for my shift in the ER.
